GeekUp Leeds takes place on the third Wednesday of every month. It's a grass-roots knowledge sharing and networking social for folks involved or interested in all forms of technology and creative media.

This month is being organised by Tim "Chippy" Waters

Talks:

  • George Marselis talking in depth about Social Responsibility of Geeks.
  • Darren Cronian from My Life in Leeds and talking about his experiences and issues blogging and the reception of his new project.
  • Pirate Party UK presentation by party member & regional meet-up
  • Rahoul Baruah (baz) techietubbies 20:20

We'll also have a few dedicated discussion tables for after the talks. Topics so far may include: Pirate Party UK, Blogging, Hardware Hacking. Will decide on the day.

RAFFLE! and prize giving for Leeds HackSpace Raffle.

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF VENUE. We've moved temporarily to Mr Foley's as the Lounge terrace is getting a makeover. Regrettably, this means there will be no wheelchair access this month.
