A Beginners Guide To Amateur Astronomy

The study of the heavens is one of the oldest sciences known to man yet it is still the most accessible for anyone to contribute to.

Thanks to modern technology people participate in astronomy everyday. Inside the comfort of their homes, virtually across the Internet and even in broad daylight in the street.

Darryl Bayliss will speak about his personal experience in studying the skies above and give advice on any looking to get involved.

Small Data: personal apps for affective communication.

This is a presentation about Thiago Hersan's experience with creative technology and how he went from being a circuit designer to a resident at FACT.

DoES Liverpool provides tea & coffee, feel free to bring your own beer or if you forget someone else will share with you.

Directions, Gostins Building is at the opposite end of Hanover Street from Liverpool Central Station, near to John Lewis and the corner with Duke Street. Go up in the lifts to the fourth floor and follow the signs to DoES Liverpool.
